Wolframalpha-An Idea for a Potential Product

Posted by Jason on Friday, September 18, 2009 , under , | comments (1)

In the past couple of months, a new search tool had been getting a lot of internet ink: Wolfram Alpha. Wolfram Alpha is a tool that makes its distinction by not scouring through billions and billions of pages, but rather computing the response on the fly. Meaning, if you type in an item, say “internet users,” Wolfram Alpha will compute, or piece together its response from its data banks. In contrast, Google (and any other search engine) will return existing web pages it deems best fit to the search query.

Yes! A new search paradigm. A Google-killer? Nope! Will it be as important as Google has become? Perhaps! But when the service was launched (May 2009), I believe it will become an essential in anyone’s search tool kit.

I haven't tried it extensively yet but if you spend a few hours testing it, you could easily become an expert and you can write a short reports and articles.

I'm actually surprised that there aren't more ebooks and stuff about WolframAlpha and Bing as well. It's been getting a lot of press, and if you look at their Adwords equivalent it's like going back in time several years.

For example, do a search on Google for "Forex Trading". You get 497 Adwords ads. Do the same search on Bing and you only get 5. Prices are similar, starting at a nickle a click. Almost like having a damn time machine!

So, just an idea for a potential product if you are at a lost for ideas.

Definitive Guide to Wolframalpha

Be the Alpha Wolf with Wolframalpha.....(okay that was stupid!)

We should take advantage of this opportunity before it will be flooded with some of the brightest minds in internet marketing.

I Need to Make $1000 by the 30th-How Can I Do This?!!?

Posted by Jason on Sunday, September 13, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

1- Offer your article writing services on Warrior Forum for below market. But get someone to commit to buy 1000 dollar's worth. 300 articles at $3 each is $900 and there are plenty of people who'll pay for this if they can trust you to deliver good articles.

2- Walk around your house, your family and friend's house, your neighbor's house with a big bag in your hand and start stuffing it with stuff they don't want and don't need. Then sell it on eBay or Craigslist or a garage sale.
(note: anytime I need a quick few hundred dollars, i do this and have at least $500 within 6 days without fail. Been doing it for years and sounds stupid simple but it works)

3- Sell your services and skills (i.e. Webdesign, Blog set up, bookkeeping services to local businesses for below market fees. Call it an introductory fee. You can usually get $250 for a nice blog and website design using templates. Do 4 of these and you make your $1000)

4- Offer to list high ticket items for others for a commission. For example, used cars, new cars, large tractors, diamond rings etc. YOU WILL GET YOUR 1000 IN YOUR FIRST DAY provided you are willing to make some calls, and visit several stores.

Without knowing what you have and what you're good at, its hard to tell what to suggest. Also looking at your avatar, its hard to figure you out and determine if you're a young person just messing around or a serious marketer willing to make sacrifices to make money.

I hope some of these suggestions will spark some ideas and allow you to make the money you need.

make money online

The popularity of social media networks, like Facebook and Twitter, are starting to get the attention of businesses - particularly small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). They’re attracted to it, because social media is proving to be an effective channel for creating new leads and also supporting existing customers.

With all of the promise that social media offers to businesses, there’s one downside, identity theft. Many businesses are often in shock when they find out their brand is already registered on popular social networks.

Raven Internet Marketing Tools recently tackled this issue by integrating an identity theft prevention tool called KnowEm. KnowEm was created by Barry Wise and Michael Streko to help businesses take control of their brand on social networks.

So, check this great tool KnowEm.What is does it that it automatically checks availability of a give ID on 120 Popular Social Media sites.

You can use it before creating your Web 2.0 Link Building campaign.

Blogging for Profit Begins With a Long Term Plan

Posted by Jason on Saturday, August 29, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

make money online

Many people dream of blogging for profit, and this goal
is not far beyond the reach of someone with average
intelligence, a willingness to work hard, and a basic
grasp of blogging technology. However, very few
people manage to reap the profits they want from their
blog. Most people who attempt to make money with
their blogs do not succeed for two reasons. Often,
bloggers have unrealistic expectations of how fast their
readership will grow and how much money they will
make, and when these expectations are not met the
disappointment can crush the desire to continue
blogging. The other trap that many bloggers fall into
has to do with lack of planning. If you want to turn a
profit as a blogger, the key to success is to make a
realistic plan and stick with it.

To succeed at blogging for profit, the main thing that
you will need is a large readership. The higher your
traffic, the more advertisers will agree to pay you.
However, cultivating the regular visitors that you will
need in order to make a profit isnt easy. As more and
more blogs appear each day, having a great idea or a
wonderful writing style is no longer enough to get
attention. You need to be able to market your blog
effectively.

Too many bloggers spend all of their time writing posts
and almost no time marketing their project. To be
certain, updating as often as you can is a great way to
keep your blog high on blogrolls and high in blog
search engines like technorati, and once your readers
know that you update frequently they will return to your
site on a regular basis. However, it does not matter how
often you update if nobody is reading your page, so dont
skimp on the time that you spend drawing visitors to
your site. To make your dreams of blogging for profit a
reality, try decreasing your number of posts and using
some of that time to draw new visitors by setting up
link exchanges with other bloggers, making contacts in
the blog community, and following other established
modes of winning traffic.

Of course, even if you are a marketing genius or have a
really great idea for a blog, success is not going to
happen overnight. Building the kind of readership that
blogging for profit requires takes time, and in all
likelihood it will be at least several months before you
are able to turn much of a profit. Try to stay committed
to your blogging project during this initial rough period.
To stay motivated, set goals for how often you will
update and how many readers you want to attract, and
then reward yourself for sticking with your plan.

Building You List-Email and RSS

Posted by Jason on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 , under | comments (0)

make money online

There are two kinds of lists you can build with a blog:

1.Email subscribers (Old school, more work)
2.RSS subscribers (New school, hardly any work at all!)

We'll cover both below and even show you how to put your emails subscribers on automatic followup by subscribing them to your blog's feed!
What is an Opt-in List? (old school)

An opt-in list is a collection of email addresses you gather from people who agree to receive email messages from you.

“Double opt-in”
has become the standard type of signup for agreeing to receive emails.

In the double opt-in process, a person fills out your online signup form with her email address. She then receives an automatic email message asking her to click on a link if she agrees to receive emails from you. Since she must complete these two actions to sign up for emails from you, it's called a double opt-in.
The double opt-in process is designed to protect publishers from being accused of sending spam.

Benefits of Having Your Own List of Targeted Customers
One of the goals for your website is to have repeat visitors.
A great way to get people to come back is to gather the email addresses of your targeted visitors, and remind them of your site and its wonderful content through a series of emails and / or a regular ezine.
You can also announce your newest products (ebooks, etc.) to your opt-in subscriber list, and occasionally promote other people's related products that earn you a commission.

What is AWEBER?
AWEBER is an online service that enables publishers to capture visitor sign ups, and then send out ezines and followup autoresponder* messages. It's an important marketing tool for your online business.

Get Set up with AWEBER
Go to http://www.aweber.com and sign up for their service.
Watch the AWEBER Setup video for more information.

*What is an Autoresponder?
An autoresponder is an automatic email message. It can be a single message or series of messages.

You’ll need an autoresponder system that automates the process of sending out your email messages to subscribers, an opt-in (sign-up) form on your site that enables visitors to subscribe, and content-rich email messages that will be sent automatically on a designated schedule.
It's an important marketing tool for publishers.

What is an Ezine?
An ezine is an email newsletter that's sent to people who have subscribed via your opt-in form to receive it. This would be what you run through your AWEBER account.
It can be a very successful tool for communicating with your customers, building a relationship with your visitors, branding yourself and your site, increasing your traffic, launching your own products, profiting from affiliate products, and more.

What Makes an Ezine Successful?
You probably subscribe to at least a few ezines from other publishers.
You've probably also quickly unsubscribed from several ezines.
What makes you stick with some ezines but drop others like a hot potato?
The ezines we stay with tend to be ones that provide useful new content and resources. We drop the ones that are nothing but sales pitches or canned / regurgitated content.

And that's the key to a successful ezine: Provide original, useful content - and preferrably, provide a lot of it for free. Always give (in the form of free, useful content) before you take (in the form of recommending a useful product or service the reader has to pay for).

Make sure some of the messages you send to your list contain no monetization at all - simply drop a line to share some valuable information for free. That's what makes you a trusted, indispensible resource for people in your niche.
Based on your research and your ongoing efforts to tune in to the conversation of your niche - what original, valuable content would your subscribers love to receive? What format would they prefer?

Adding an Opt-In Form to Your WPM Blog

(The following instructions for putting the opt-in form code on your site are based on using A Weber. If you’ve chosen a different autoresponder system, you’ll need to modify them appropriately, based on instructions provided by your system.)
From within AWeber, click on the Leads tab in the top navigation menu.

Click on Web Form Generator

Click on Create new web form

Fill in the form:
1. Form Name – whatever you want to call it; no one else will see this)

2. Type – select In-Line.

3. Background color – leave this blank if you want, or pick a color to go with your site.

4. Headline – Enter the text you want shown just above the form.

5. Input Fields – select Email Text, Name Text

6. Submit Button Caption – enter something more interesting than “submit” (i.e., “Begin Free E-Class”)

7. Thank You Page – enter the URL of your home page (or a different page of your choice)

8. Use New Window – do NOT check this

9. Forward Variables – do NOT check this

10. Ad Tracking – Leave blank

11. Message Number – select (Default) 1 autoresponse

12. Dimensions – Leave as is

Click on Save. A new page will come up that says Success: your web form has been saved.

Click on Get HTML (in the one-row table under Web Forms). A new window will open.

Copy the HTML Code in the botton box of the HTML code window.

Go to your WPM site administration page.

Click on the Presentation tab

Click on Widgets

Select and Drag a New Text Widget up to your Sidebar. Open the text widget and enter the html code from aweber into the text widget and save it.

Instructions below are for the older sites that do not use widgets

1. Open your FTP program

2. Go to /public_html/wp-content/themes/ (and the theme format you’ve chosen, such as contentdesk-2-col-right)

3. Select the sidebar.php file and open Properties

4. Change permissions to 777 (select Read, Write, Execute options if using SmartFTP)

5. Click OK

6. Go back to WPM

Decide where on your blog’s sidebar you want your Opt-In form to show (it should be at the top; in this example, we’ll place it right under the Translator image).
Paste the java script code you copied from AWeber into the appropriate place within your sidebar code. For our example, under Translator, insert it right after these 2 lines:

make money online

Click on Update File to save.

View Site to see how it looks.

Remember to go back and reset the permissions of your Sidebar file to 644 via your FTP program.

How Can You Encourage People to Sign Up?
One very successful method for increasing signups via your opt-in form is to offer a free gift that has value to the people you're targeting.
Typically this is in the form of a special report, an e-course, access to videos or audio, etc.

The Keys to a Successful Subscriber Gift

•Make sure that anyone who signs up via your opt-in form receives this free gift immediately.
Make sure your free gift is useful, valuable, and very high quality. A junky gift makes people feel ripped off (and isn't a very good sneak-preview of what they'll receive from you in the future!), and they'll unsubscribe immediately.

Building an RSS Subscriber Base
This is really where its at these days. All I have to do is have people subscribe to my blog and updates to the blog are automatically sent to my subscribers via their feed reader or via email.

Go to the Friday Traffic Report and notice that I allow people both subscription options. People who click on the RSS buttons can get an array of major feed readers to add my feed to. People who simply drop their email address get my blog emailed to them every so many days with the latest posts.

Presto! I don't have to write a newsletter! I can mail them any time I want, but when I don't want to or can't, my blog will send them the latest posts on a schedule I can control.

This is done through Feedburner and is a program called "Feedblitz." Just follow the instructions there to get set up with a little form you can put in your sidebar to allow emails subscribers.

Set up your template for mailings (your header, ads, anything you want to surround your latest entries in the emails that go out) and you have an automated system of keeping in touch with your readers!

Not that AWEBER is a bad choice. Some people prefer it and it also sends out your RSS feed to readers just like Feedblitz. I just perfer Feedblitz for simplicity and the fact that I don't often mail my subscribers outside the updates on the blog.

Use what suits you best!

What I Did Yesterday

Posted by Jason on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

make money online

Yesterday was a restful day out with my wife all day - shopping, going to cinemas, drinking coffee, reading the newspapers.

Yet I ALWAYS have an eye out for an opportunity!

Where I am, we have "Jumble Sales". Not sure what they are called where you are but basically just a load of people's unwanted junk. Usually they are run by a church group and sometimes by a women's group / child and toddler group / scout group.

But the thing is - everything is CHEAP!

Well, there are all sorts of things - clothes, jewelry, shoes, cups, vases, DVD players etc etc.

I IGNORE EVERYTHING and concentrate only on the ..... BOOKS

Books are amazing. First of all, we all love a good read. But secondly, at jumble sales they are 30 cents or so. Dirt cheap! Some of them are large volumes. The church are happy just to offload the junk and get a few pennies. Most people are happy just to get a novel or two.

I avoid novels like the plague. I stick to anything that can help my business. So, at these places, there are ALWAYS business related books - one minute manager, leadership, time management, interview techniques, old classics of the business world etc etc. And NOBODY wants to buy them. They are all clamoring for the romance and crime novels. I just take my pick of the business gems.

Yesterday I bought five books. Some were trash I admit. But I got Jack Trout's book which will be a great inspiration.

However, I also got a couple of business books and I will use these for a product or free report. You only need to find ONE nugget when reading and you have something valuable. Just put it into your own words. Use the free speech recognition software that comes with Vista and you will have a product in no time.

What I will likely do is produce a couple of blog posts and probably a couple of 5 minute audios to put on my blog. People love free stuff so you could make a few audios and speak like an expert to give a way as a lead generator. or do a Camtasia screencast using words and diagrams from these books. You don't have to copy exactly.

So, a restful day, but a highly productive one and all for a few dollars in total.

3 Money-Making Success Strategies

Posted by Jason on Thursday, August 13, 2009 , under | comments (0)

make money online

1. Find ONE STRATEGY, formula or whatever that can bring in money.

Many people do two things wrong. First, they choose the wrong product or service. In doing so, the believe that THEY know what is best and what people will buy. This is often coupled with and new idea that they wish to promote. However, it is always best to go where you know people are buying. Customers buy when they want something - it is possible that YOU may have what they want when they visit you and your new idea, but it is more likely that you won't. So, stick to tried-and-trusted methods and products.

The second thing is that people flip from one method to another and before you know it they have lost faith in all methods as there has been no return. Then it's on to the next big idea (often coupled with the purchase of some high end product from a guru who preys on selling the latest methods to unsuspecting newbies). Decide WHAT type of marketing you are going to do and put all your energy into it - affiliate marketing? PPC marketing? developing own products? e-commerce sites etc.

I did all of these mistakes- BIG TIME. I made nothing or next to nothing. Until I changed and now I concentrate on one or two narrow areas and now my income is a hundred times better.

2. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF - you can do this and produce REAL RESULTS.

YES! Because NONE OF THIS IS HARD and there is more than enough to go around for everyone. Yes, it takes time and commitment. But it doesn't take the brain of Einstein, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. Selling, making blogs, websites, products, etc is easy. Take everything step by step. Sometimes you see these big guru types and think "I could never be like them". That is true! But there is no NEED to be like them. They have people and power behind them. Yet you could earn a GOOD living just by doing the basics. Check out affiliate marketing stuff by Rosalind Gardner. She has NO guru punch behind her and works from a room in her home with just a PC, camera, phone, printer and other basics. And the final result, she's now a millionaire.

3. TAKE ACTION AND FOCUS to work on step 1 every day for AT LEAST 30 DAYS, without any other distractions

We are all victims of distraction. Hell, THIS POST I am writing is a distraction. In the same time I have written this I could have written an article and posted to Go Articles or some other place, or got a link, or posted in an influential forum, or devised a web page etc. Doing this now and then is OK but most people lose focus and drift form forums to emails to TV then to chat then back to downloading the.... etc. the end result is that nothing EVER gets completed and dealt with.

How To Make Sense Of All The Information?

make money online

I have personally felt the information overload so I believe the following tips may be helpful to you.

For becoming an entrepreneur, you need 2 important things
1. Rock Solid mindset.
2. Ability to let go of attachment to your product/business.

The "How to do" is the least important factor in succeeding. Why? Because it's easy to learn but gaining the above 2 factors can take years.

And how do you build these abilities?

Simply by doing them. No number of books/audio courses or Tony Robbins will help in this regard. You have to do it.

Think of times when you decided to "not do" certain things but you still did (ie not eating junk yet you did or may not spending money on stupid infomercials and you did).

To build Rock solid mindset, you should take your own words seriously. Stick to what you say or believe. My father used to say "Men are recognized by their words" while he was trying to make me understand this universal truth.

The other ability to is Let Go, You'll learn as the time passes by. Though I am recommending Sedona but I believe the ability to let go should be learnt through experience in life. Experience is really strict teacher, man, it's lesson does stuck hard on you.

Beliefs
1. Success can come fast.
2. Building business is fun, easy and exciting
3. Its easy to learn and implement new things.
4. You can succeed even without much experience.

Ok! Enough of Preaching... Lets get to the basics.

Internet Marketing Rule :
A friend of mine gave me this marketing rule which really resonated with me.

Online Success = (1 X production + 3 X marketing)X Daily.

So if you spend 10 minutes in creating something, you should be spending 30 minutes promoting your production. And it's a habit you should implement daily.

Dan Kennedy Talks about his experience of writing 1 hr daily in early mornings
One of Jay Abraham's protege (sorry his name escapes me) talks about his experience of doing just 1 thing to promote his services daily.

For example, on internet, if you write an article, you should do as much as possible to promote it.

How to start your very first business (online or offline)?

Constant Learning is one of most important factor to succeed and grow in any field. I suggest you guys to take out what you can from your budget and spend it monthly on learning.

I personally started with buying 10-15 dollars book every month. That was the kind of budget I had. Though we are nothing short of being pirates here but at least pay for the products which you have checked out and really liked it.

And here's the thing, The products I am going to recommend here are the ones you'd like to buy even if it's just for symbolic purposes.

Stacks are books/products that I recommend.

Stack 1 :
1. Major Marketing Mindset: Pick any one of these courses.
Quote:
1. Guerilla Marketing Jay Conrad Levinson
2. Piranha Marketing Joe Polish
3. Magnetic Marketing Dan Kennedy
4. Mastermind Marketing System by Jay Abraham. This course is latest one with interviews. 2.10 GB

Personally I don't know which one of these authors will resonate with you, So I recommend you to check out all of them and then stick to one person you feel connection, trust, rapport with.

2. Get Jay Abraham "Getting Everything out of all you've got".
3. Get a Speed Reading Course (it'll help you a LOT)

You should start building your business from this point onwards.

If you are creating infoproducts then DON'T download Big products by Ken Mcarthur (nothing bad about it)instead, just get on with creation yourself.

Ebook :
Write 1 page every day and in next 30 days you can sell 30 page ebook for anything from 10-30 dollars.

Audio:
If you talk just for 15 minutes, you can create 7 hrs worth of audio in next 30 days and can sell it for anywhere from 50 - 200 dollars per piece (this is where your marketing skills will come handy).

Videos:
If you shoot just for 15 minutes, you can create 7 hrs worth of Video in next 30 days and can sell it for anywhere from 100 - 1000 dollars per piece (this is where your marketing skills will come handy).

Well don't you think this is good plan for next 3-6 months.
Start with a low price front end. Increase the price with good Backend using audio. In 6 months you can come out with Video...

In the end you'll have 3 products in no time.

Stack 2:
1. Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs by Dan Kennedy (DVD). Get the DVD's first, Watch it. Only then you are allowed to listen to mp3.
2. Matt Furey - Magnetic Millionaire

OPTIONAL : In Product Launch Formula 2, Jeff did an Interview with Rich Schefren and they discussed all the launches since John Reese Million dollar days. Get that interview and listen/read it many times. You'll learn the basic idea about product launching. This interview is like cliff's lists version of the whole PLF. Its about 60 page (I don't listen to audios unless there's no other way).

Quote:
Instead of asking for niche ideas or business ideas why not you guys try out something or a market which you resonate closely with. It doesn't matter which market you belong to.

You'll learn more while doing business than discussing on forums or intellectual-zing in your mind. I mean how hard it's to do business in today's environment?

$10 for domain for 1 year
$60 for webspace from hostgator for 1 year.
OPTIONAL $20 /month= $240 Per year for aweber/getresponse.

Technically you can get started for as little as $70. Do you believe how easy it is for you guys? Seriously if you guys can't think of risking 70 dollars then you shouldn't be in business. PERIOD.

Stack 3 :
1. Stomping the Search Engines by Brand Fallon
2. Traffic Secrets 2 CD's

Right now You don't have to worry about Launch Sequence/ EMail marketing, etc etc etc all the other 1000$ courses out there. We are only building foundational stuff here guys.

OPTIONAL :
Underachiever Course By Frank Kern, Ed Dale. You are better off with this product if you have your own infoproduct ready to sell.

Stack 4:

Here we'll get into nitty gritty of building and optimizing businesses.

1. Get altitude by Eben Pagan OR
1. Business Growth Systems by Rich Schefren.

2. Basic Copywriting (Pick any one of Maria Veloso book, Joesph Sugarman book or AWAI basic copywriting course will do)

3.(Can be Optional) Traffic Secrets 1.0 (Earlier version, Someone please upload them), John Reese talks a heck a lot about optimizing minor detail that makes big bucks. If you picked Underachiever from stack 3, then these are optional but I recommend these to you to watch in your leisure time. Your whole mindset will change.

Ok I'll keep editing this later and if you have questions, rather than PM'ing me.

About traffic Secrets 2.0. Though I am recommending to read the transcripts but If you are new to Search engine optimization or building traffic, you should watch the videos too. Videos/audio with transcripts engages the mind more productively and powerfully.

Now after writing that long post, I was thinking "Is that really enough?"

Frankly speaking, the answer is NO. But that's where real world experience comes in. You make mistakes and learn from them (better learn from other people's mistakes).

"Only fools learn from their own mistakes, Wise learn even from others mistakes. " Robert Greene in 48 laws of power. <- Good book to study.

If you are not building an online business(or an offline one) then you are better off not downloading these courses. Don't try to do it in Future. Do it now.

There are many skills you need to learn in order to become wildly successful. The Most important is the Art of selling. If you can sell someone, you can survive in any conditions.

Selling and marketing goes hand in hand. Marketing skills Leverage your Selling power.

In fact if you know anyone who is successful at marketing was at one time good sales man. Let me give you a list.
1. Eben pagan (worked for Tony Robbins)
2. Joe sugarman
3. Joe polish
4. Dan kennedy
5. Jay abraham
6. Gary halbert.
and list goes on n on.

The above post was a good plan. But I think it's not a plan. Frankly if you call it a plan, then it seems like all those products I listed are essential for success in business, it's not. It seems like I am saying that you need to spend at least 10,000 dollars before you'll succeed?

Here's a funny thing, another friend of mine who is making 10 G's a month silently work with his online business. He doesn't have any products, He isn't outlandish marketer like some of the names you hear. He doesn't do JV's. He rarely knows about all the products I've listed above. All he knew was to make a website. That's it. He learned every single thing by trial and error.

In fact if you just follow any one of the basic courses I listed in stack 1 products, you can succeed.

10 Ways To Get Rich -Warren Buffett's Secret

make money online

1. Reinvest Your Profits:

When you first make money, you may be tempted to spend it. Don't. Instead, reinvest the profits. Warren Buffett learned this early on. In high school, he and a pal bought a pinball machine to pun in a barbershop. With the money they earned, they bought more machines until they had eight in different shops. When the friends sold the venture, Warren Buffett used the proceeds to buy stocks and to start another small business. By age 26, he'd amassed $174,000 -- or $1.4 million in today's money. Even a small sum can turn into great wealth.

2. Be Willing To Be Different:

Don't base your decisions upon what everyone is saying or doing. When Warren Buffett began managing money in 1956 with $100,000 cobbled together from a handful of investors, he was dubbed an oddball. He worked in Omaha, not Wall Street, and he refused to tell his parents where he was putting their money. People predicted that he'd fail, but when he closed his partnership 14 years later, it was worth more than $100 million. Instead of following the crowd, he looked for undervalued investments and ended up vastly beating the market average every single year. To Warren Buffett, the average is just that -- what everybody else is doing. to be above average, you need to measure yourself by what he calls the Inner Scorecard, judging yourself by your own standards and not the world's.

3. Never Suck Your Thumb:

Gather in advance any information you need to make a decision, and ask a friend or relative to make sure that you stick to a deadline. Warren Buffett prides himself on swiftly making up his mind and acting on it. He calls any unnecessary sitting and thinking "thumb sucking." When people offer him a business or an investment, he says, "I won't talk unless they bring me a price." He gives them an answer on the spot.

4. Spell Out The Deal Before You Start:

Your bargaining leverage is always greatest before you begin a job -- that's when you have something to offer that the other party wants. Warren Buffett learned this lesson the hard way as a kid, when his grandfather Ernest hired him and a friend to dig out the family grocery store after a blizzard. The boys spent five hours shoveling until they could barely straighten their frozen hands. Afterward, his grandfather gave the pair less than 90 cents to split. Warren Buffett was horrified that he performed such backbreaking work only to earn pennies an hour. Always nail down the specifics of a deal in advance -- even with your friends and relatives.

5. Watch Small Expenses:

Warren Buffett invests in businesses run by managers who obsess over the tiniest costs. He one acquired a company whose owner counted the sheets in rolls of 500-sheet toilet paper to see if he was being cheated (he was). He also admired a friend who painted only on the side of his office building that faced the road. Exercising vigilance over every expense can make your profits -- and your paycheck -- go much further.

6. Limit What You Borrow:

Living on credit cards and loans won't make you rich. Warren Buffett has never borrowed a significant amount -- not to invest, not for a mortgage. He has gotten many heart-rendering letters from people who thought their borrowing was manageable but became overwhelmed by debt. His advice: Negotiate with creditors to pay what you can. Then, when you're debt-free, work on saving some money that you can use to invest.

7. Be Persistent:

With tenacity and ingenuity, you can win against a more established competitor. Warren Buffett acquired the Nebraska Furniture Mart in 1983 because he liked the way its founder, Rose Blumkin, did business. A Russian immigrant, she built the mart from a pawnshop into the largest furniture store in North America. Her strategy was to undersell the big shots, and she was a merciless negotiator. To Warren Buffett, Rose embodied the unwavering courage that makes a winner out of an underdog.

8. Know When To Quit:

Once, when Warren Buffett was a teen, he went to the racetrack. He bet on a race and lost. To recoup his funds, he bet on another race. He lost again, leaving him with close to nothing. He felt sick -- he had squandered nearly a week's earnings. Warren Buffett never repeated that mistake. Know when to walk away from a loss, and don't let anxiety fool you into trying again.

9. Assess The Risk:

In 1995, the employer of Warren Buffett's son, Howie, was accused by the FBI of price-fixing. Warren Buffett advised Howie to imagine the worst-and-bast-case scenarios if he stayed with the company. His son quickly realized that the risks of staying far outweighed any potential gains, and he quit the next day. Asking yourself "and then what?" can help you see all of the possible consequences when you're struggling to make a decision -- and can guide you to the smartest choice.

10. Know What Success Really Means:

Despite his wealth, Warren Buffett does not measure success by dollars. In 2006, he pledged to give away almost his entire fortune to charities, primarily the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He's adamant about not funding monuments to himself -- no Warren Buffett buildings or halls. "I know people who have a lot of money," he says, "and they get testimonial dinners and hospital wings named after them. But the truth is that nobody in the world loves them. When you get to my age, you'll measure your success in life by how many of the people you want to have love you actually do love you. That's the ultimate test of how you've lived your life."

YouTube To Broadly Release Call-To-Action Overlays, Allow Linking Off-Site

make money online

YouTube had released a very important addition to its suite of advertising products, and it has the potential to have a huge impact for politicians, brands, and charities alike. The funny thing is, you probably thought it was already out there.

The product’s official name is the Call-To-Action Overlay, and it’s about as straightforward as ads come: it’s a semi-transparent pop-up that links viewers to any website you choose. For example, I could place an overlay on a TechCrunch video inviting users to visit the corresponding post we wrote about it. Yes, it’s that simple.

It’s hard to believe, but you’ve never been able to do this on YouTube before now. If you ever wanted to drive users watching your YouTube video to another site, you’d have to include it as a link in the summary at the right-hand side of the page, which most people ignore anyway. Users can include links in annotations, but only to other YouTube videos. Think back to President Obama’s landmark election campaign, which was helped in no small part by his YouTube presence. If he ever wanted to direct visitors to one of his campaign homepages, he’d have to ask visitors to enter his site’s URL manually. That’s a pretty major hurdle to overcome. This gets rid of it.

So why has YouTube taken so long to implement such an obvious feature? The answer likely boils down to the fact that this is effectively driving traffic away from YouTube, which isn’t an ideal situation for a site that thrives on views. This is probably a somewhat scary step for the video giant, but it’s taking some initiatives to negate any possible downsides. You can only place these customized overlays on a video that you’ve entered into YouTube’s CPC Promoted Videos program. You don’t have to pay anything extra for the Call-To-Action overlay, but you do have to be a paying YouTube advertiser.

The feature has been in testing with select partners and non-profits for some time, and the results have been extremely positive. Last March, the organization charity:water managed to raise $10,000 in a single day by including an overlay on one of its videos. A handful of politicians have also been trying it out, using it to entice voters to sign their petitions. It’s worked well enough that politicians who haven’t had access to the feature are clamoring for it.

At this point the potential uses for the links are fairly obvious. Brands can link their commercials back to the products they’re selling. Publishers (like us) can link back to relevant articles. And politicians can link back to their campaign homepages or petitions. But there’s almost certainly some other kind of creative use for the new ads waiting to be tapped, just as YouTube’s annotations were used to create choose-your-own-adventure video journeys.

make money online

Do you believe and look for that there is a way to earn a living online, but just haven't been lucky enough to find it yet? Well before you completely give up hope I would like to share a little bit of personal experience with the Google AdSense program.

Google AdSense is a special affiliate program based on pay per click campaign. As you know, most of affiliate programs are based on performance. Performance means there is necessary to be an action no matter it is sale or lead. Before Google AdWords becomes so hot, affiliate programs are the main steam to make money online.

Since Google AdSense is available online, thousands of webmasters and internet entrepreneurs have been using AdSense to earn an income online. Signing up for the program is very simple, and once you are approved, placing the ads on your site is a simple as pasting a few lines of code. Through its AdSense program, Google lets you earn without the need for you to sell anything at all to anyone anywhere.

You are free to sell anything and free to work anywhere anytime. But to make money online with Google AdSense, you have to build your perfect website. Your AdSense revenue based on clicks your website received. And you must have to know, not every click has the same reward. There are top paying keywords for AdSense and you should figure out those top paying keywords to your website. Google AdSense matches the content of your website.

Google Adsense is specific: the Advertising that it puts up on every page will depend on the content of that page. This is important both to the purchaser of the advertising and the seller. If a visitor goes to your website looking for making money online, then reads an article named “Make Money Online With Google AdSense”, and find some ads displayed on your websites about “Google AdSense Secrets” or “AdSense Gold “, the reader just want to know more information. The reader then clicks, you can guess, the link and you as the publisher make money from the AdSense program and the advertiser also gets more targeted website traffic and potential sales.

And how to increase your clicks, based on improve your click through rate (click divided impression) and absolute impressions. One of the best things you can do is add additional pages to your site. A web site with thousands of pages and tons of content often does very well in the search engines. You can get free content from article directories, like ZapContent.com.

Succeeding with AdSense is largely determined by the amount of traffic to your site. However, there are many AdSense tricks that you can employ to get the most possible out of your site. Often times, this means doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling your earnings. The key is to find out what works for your web site. Testing and tracking is the key to increased revenue!

7 Tips to Building Your Blog's Readership

Posted by Jason on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

make money online

Attracting traffic to a blog or a web site is challenging enough. So from the very beginning, when you start to see visitors coming to read your blog, be sure that they feel comfortable to stick around. And there are a number of ways you can help them to do just that.

Here are seven vital ingredients for building a successful blog with loyal followers:

1. Publish Regularly.
As your readers become familiar with the frequency of your posts, it will influence their visiting behavior. If your readers know that you post fresh content every day, they will probably come every day to read it. If they know you post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, that's when they will come.

2. Stay on Topic.
Stick to your niche. If your blog doesn't have a niche, give it one. Readers like blog's that are focused on a particular theme or topic. If you have no theme and just post about anything, then readers are less likely to become passionate about your blog and will probably move on to somewhere else.

3. Use Meaningful Titles in Posts.
This not only announces clearly what the post is about, but it will help people navigate your blog and also influence your ranking with search engines.

4. Interact With Your Readers.
Think of your blog like a conversation. You post, readers comment. Be active and be positive as you interact and converse with your readers.

5. Highlight Your Best Posts.
Don't let your best posts get lost in your archives. It’s always a good idea to link to your best posts from a ‘best posts’ category on the main page.

6. Provide Good Navigation to Popular Pages.
If you help people find the key pages within your blog, their visit will be a much more enjoyable experience.

7. Avoid Not Posting for Extended Periods.
If someone visits your blog and discovers that the last post was three weeks ago, they will probably be disappointed. If you don't post, people may give you the benefit of the doubt and come back on a few days to check, but you better believe they will lose interest quickly if you fall out of your regular schedule and stop posting.

There you have it! Seven little tips that will make a big difference to your blog's readership. It's not rocket science. It's just using some common sense when posting and interacting with your readers.

How to Increase Your Site Traffic and Succeed With Your Affiliate Marketing Programs

make money online

Have you found yourself wondering why you are overwhelmed? There is so much material on the Internet regarding Internet marketing. If a person tries to digest all of it at one time, they will will experience a bad case of online marketing indigestion. This is not a good feeling to have. I have had these feelings before as well.

The solution to this issue is to narrow your focus on one niche. You see it is much easier to become an expert in one area rather than two or more areas. I have made a decision to devote my time to making money online. There are countless ways to make money online in this world today. You can make money in real estate, the stock market, by owning your own offline business and in numerous other ways. But the people who really do well in this world financially are known primarily for one thing. Bill Gates in known for Microsoft. Warren Buffett is known as a stock expert. Donald Trump is known for real estate. I am sure that they have other things that they focus on now but they are known as being experts in a certain field. What do you focus on? Many things or one thing? I am willing to bet that if your answer is many you are in a state of Internet marketing discombobulation. Find something you like doing and become an expert at it. The trick is to find something you like doing that is profitable financially. This is the secret to making money online.

If there is a market for your product, you can sell it. Do a search on Google and see how many results your area of focus will bring up. If you use keywords, you will get better results. The more targeted the results the better. It is easy to develop a product when you are an expert in that area because you know something that your buyers don't. You are the expert and they are not. They will pay large sums of money to acquire your expertise.

As marketers we must understand that our time is extremely valuable and the more we focus on too many things, the more time that is wasted. This time could be better spent focusing on one niche. It takes time to learn what your niche market wants. After you learn what they want, give the people what they desire. If your child wants a piece of pizza and you give them fish that would cause sadness in their hearts. They may cry and be upset with you. In the same way, if you give your target market something different then what they are asking for they will remove themselves from your list or no longer associate with you.

So use your time wisely and learn what your target market wants. Once you have determined what they want, if you do not already have a product created to meet their needs create one. Remember what they have told you and use the desires of their hearts as your blueprint to create an excellent information product.

Your job as the expert is to provide the answers to the questions that your target market is asking. You answer their questions with your products and you will be seen as an expert by them. You can also become qualified as an expert by creating a blog about your niche market. You can have your readers post their questions on your blog. Answer their questions on your blog and they will also begin to view you in a different light. This will prove to them that you care about what they have to say. People buy more easily when they trust the person they are buying from. A blog is a great way to create an atmosphere of trust. You can also build a great deal of rapport with your market in this way as well. You can get to know your market on your blog and they can get to know you. An excellent method to implement to accomplish this is simply to be open with your life. Talk about your family and life on the blog and you will find that your market is more likely to talk about their family.

You now have a number of concepts to implement in your Internet business right now. The key is to go out and do them. You will be greatly rewarded if you do. One niche can indeed make you rich.

WHY WE SPEND THE WAY WE SPEND?

Posted by Jason on Saturday, May 30, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

make money online

Have you even wondered why you sometimes skimp on restaurant meals or deprive yourself of your usual "model" hobby purchases, and then all of a sudden buy a new leather bag or pair of shoes- just like that?

The urge of splurge can hit quick and fast during unguarded moments and before you know it, the trying-hard-to-be frugal guy is separated with his money quicker than anything have your ever seen. These moments of irrational spending may or may not be major enough to cause deep dents in financial plans, but understanding why they happen- and why they normally do- will help you prevent the next one.

An associate professor at the Sloan School of Management, says in a study that " people's complex behavior toward money defy economic theory".

One of his findings is that we all have personal rules when it comes to spending- rules that we think will keep us out of money trouble. One example would be never to buy an item if it's not on sale. When we don't live by the rules, we feel guilty. That guilt is what he calls a moral tax on consumption, which interferes with the pleasures that we get from buying what we buy.

Marketing take advantage if these findings by offering bundled pricing. A home theater system may have additional high-definition television cables included in the package and a set of speakers, plus a table. The cables and table may not be free, but you will feel better purchasing the entire set.

Credit cards are insidious when people don't understand how they work, because they remove the pain of that moral tax or make it appear that the pain is not there. A separate study has shown that most people who pay with plastic tend to spend more that their budget.

HOW TO FIGHT THE URGE TO SPLURGE

Understanding how or why we spend means we have to look into whether we fall prey to the contrived psychological triggers that marketers cook up to remove rationality in our spending. I recommend to try bringing a notebook with you or using your mobile phone to jot down for a month anything you buy-from gum to spam- and what time you want to buy what. Some triggers you should watch out for are emotional, like:

  • loneliness from being away from home or fights with ones
  • advertisements
  • holidays and special occasions
  • sale season and promotions at work. The list is endless.

After all, there's always a reason to spend if want to find that reason. Taking control of your money will not happen by magic; it will require CHOICE.

  • Blog Optimization For Great Search Engine Results - A Must!

    Posted by Jason on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 , under , | comments (0)

    make money online

If you are interested in trying to make money from your blog, you probably want to know how you can best optimize your blog for great search engine results. After all, most people stumble upon blogs when doing a search for something. If you use these optimization tips effectively, it may be your blog more people are drawn to. So, check these tips out and experiment with your own blog. Note what has the best results and stay with it. Change the other things around a bit until you get the results out of them that you want.

    Simple Content

Many experts say that the best way to optimize your blog is to keep everything very simple. You can choose one quality content topic and make it your base. Then from there you can use variations of the topic in order to keep everything going. This may seem like a broad and useless tip, but once you get into blogging more and more, you understand how important it is.

    Put More Out There

If you are trying to get more of a presence on search engines, be sure that you have something to show. The more content you have, the more likely you are to show up on a search engine. Bigger sites always do better than smaller sites. It is simply a numbers game. Search engines will see your site in a different manner, depending on how much content you have. The more content you have, the more there is a chance there will be that someone will stumble onto your site.

    Ask Search Engines for Help

Few people know that you can actually submit your site to search engines. Submit your site’s URL and ask to be put into the index. This can take a while, but if they do list you in the index, you will see a larger increase in traffic. Beware however of a service that asks for money in exchange for getting your sites into search engines. These can be a little misleading at times. There are ways to do this without needing to pay anyone at all.

    Keyword Pay

A great idea for optimization is to identify the most popular keywords. By doing this, you are essentially targeting the keywords that people most often search for. When you do this, you have an edge over the competition. When you know exactly what the people are looking for, you can give them just that. Once you have a list of keywords, simply create articles that use these keywords. By creating these articles, you are putting yourself out there to be found. When someone does a search for those keywords, your blog just might pop up on their screen. Be careful not to use the keyword so much that your article does not make sense however.

    Daily Updates

If you really want the best optimization, you should update it daily at the least. The more you update it, the more often search engines will index your blog. Therefore, you will want to be sure your blog is always fresh. Adding new information is the best way to update your blog. The more new information you have, the better off you will be! Just be sure that when you do update, it is for a good reason. You should always remember that content can have a purpose, but it should always be quality content. If you compromise content, you are only allowing yourself to strip the creativity from your project. If you are happy with doing that, by all means go ahead. However, as a writer, you will have a certain responsibility to web surfers. Unless you want everything on the web to be useless, do your part!

Use these tips to help optimize your blog and get the most from search engines. The more you post and use these tips, the more results you will see. If you earn your living from the number of clicks your blog or your ads get, this will essentially mean more money for you. You can use all of them or some of them. Experiment with them to see what works best for you and your blog. Put these tips to use and watch your results rise today!

3 POWERFUL Ways To Profit From Your BLOG... Starting TODAY!

    make money online

Cyberspace has a NEW marketing tool, even though they've been around for quite some time, yet, ONLY recently have been recognized as a Powerful communication tool for Internet marketers.

If you've been following the latest Internet marketing trends like I have, then you've definitely heard of them.

What's this new marketing tool I'm taking about that every Serious marketer should have in place?

    BLOGS! ...(A.K.A. Web-Log).

Now, just for those of you who aren't quite sure what a BLOG is, here's a quick definition:

A BLOG(A.K.A. Web-Log) is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating(usually on a daily to weekly basis) a blog is called "Blogging" and someone who keeps a Blog is a "Blogger".

There you have it, quick and direct to the point.

I'm going to list three ways that I think are the Best and most Powerful ways to get the most out of your Blog.

So, with that said, let's go to Profit Tactic #1.

    Profit Tactic #1. Writing "Articles".

Writing "Articles" are a very Powerful way to profit from your Blog.

There are many reasons why "Articles" are valuable to your Blog, but, for the purpose of this article I'm going to give you the most important part, and that's your "Resource Box" at the end of your article.

Your "Resource Box" is like a classified ad and holds critical information about You, your websites and what you have to offer them after they've read your article.

The links within your "Resource Box" could lead to your own Product or Service you have to offer, or they could lead to a Affiliate Product related to the content of your article.

This is a great way to give them something of "Value", which is the information within the article, and a great way to get them to take action by way of getting them to click on one of the links within your "Resource Box".

    That's "Profit Tactic #1".

Profit Tactic #2. Writing "Product Reviews".

Writing "Product Reviews" is a great way to profit from your Blog simply because they allow you to Soft-Sell your potential customer by way of giving them your personal opinion on the product you are recommending and then providing them with a link if they wish to look into it further, instead of throwing a Sales Pitch at them.

Nobody likes to be sold, but, offering them your insight on a Product and/or Service that could help solve the problem they're dealing with is yet another great way to profit from your Blog and make you look like a Hero.

    That's "Profit Tactic #2".

Profit Tactic #3. "Text Ad" Programs.

"Text Ad Programs" like Affiliate Power Ads or Google Adsense are yet Another great way to profit from your Blog.

I've listed these two "Text Ad" programs for a reason, One is a Pay-Per-Click(Google Adsense) and shows related ads to the content on that particular webpage and the other one(Affiliate Power Ads) makes You up to $60 to $100 dollars in commissions on a single click.

Here are the links for you to check them out further if you wish.

    Google Adsense --

    Affiliate Power Ads --
    PAYDOTCOM
    CLICKBANK
    COMMISSION JUNCTION

They are both FREE to join and only take you minutes to set-up depending on your experience.

Here's an example of how mine looks if you were to set-up your Blog through Blogger.com -- onedelacrus

The great thing is... they'll be displayed on every page of your Blog when you make a post.

I also provided a link below that shows you How-To set this up "Step-By-Step", making it Easy for you to get started.

Now, I'm sure there are many other ways to $$Profit$$ from your Blog, but these ones in my mind are the most Powerful.

Well... there you have it, "3 POWERFUL Ways To Profit From Your BLOG... Starting TODAY!".

    “ WHAT IF? ”

    make money online

What if, What if, What if. This question comes at us every day. What if I said this, What if I did that or what if I didn’t. It comes down to decisions. We all have decisions to make every day of our lives. We all make good and bad decisions. That’s life. When you look back on your life you can think of some really great decisions that you made, decisions that have altered the course of your life. You can also remember some really bad ones that have affected you in a negative way.

Life is never static, it’s always changing and opportunities come and go. Doors open and we have to decide whether to step through and seize the opportunity or not. When you are standing in front of that open door of opportunity the question arises “What if?” do I or don’t I. We need to make a decision. How do we make decisions? This depends on our background, education, life experiences and sometimes advice from others.

We don’t know each other, but I would like to give you some advice. Suppose I said that I knew something that could change your life forever for the better. Would you be interested? Suppose I said I knew someone that was showing other people how to acquire something like real estate for free. Suppose you could also learn how to build on your “land” something like a five star hotel. You would also learn how to market your “hotel” and collect rent from guests that pay to stay. Would you be interested?

What am I talking about? It’s called virtual real estate. Your own space on the World Wide Web or Internet if you prefer. If you own a space there it can turn out to be very valuable property.

The most expensive house in the world is a 12 bedroom mansion in London England for which an Indian steel tycoon paid $128 million.

The most valuable web page in history, to date, will probably be thesixmilliondollarpage by Alejandro Saavedra and Robert Kanaat. Now here’s the difference. The tycoon paid $128 million for the house. How much did these two guys pay for the page. Next to nothing. Maybe a couple hundred bucks at the most depending on how they went about it.

I am going to open a door for you that could literally change your life. The only cost is your time and effort. Now you must decide! Ask yourself the following question:-

“What if” I click on this link:

It could make all the difference.

HOW CAN I 'REALLY' MAKE MONEY ONLINE?

    make money online

This is the age old question. Funny to think that anything about the internet could be 'age old' but here it is.

Ever since there was an internet for us all to use, people have been trying to profit from it. Many people have succeed, many are still trying.

There are plenty of scams out there promising you instant riches for only $137. The seller of this scam will show you proof that his method works by revealing his bank account. Of course this works for him, he's selling the scam. His bank account is not proof that his ideas will make you rich. It is only proof that he is willing to cheat you out of your money. Why wouldn't he be rich, he is collecting $137 a pop to tell his story.

What is his story? Probably something like, create an ebook, market it and watch the money grow. He will tell you that in order for you to create your ebook, you will need his $97 ebook software program. To market your ebook, you will have to buy his $197 marketing plan. It's as simple as that. Wow, are you rich yet. No, but he sure is!

This is very much like the old mail order scams about stuffing envelopes. How many people fell for that trick? How does that scam work? Well you pay someone $24.95 for their informative booklet on mail order profits. When you get the booklet, you find out that in order for you to make money in mail order, you have to get people to send you $24.95 for your informative booklet on mail order profits. Sound familiar?

The only difference between that old scam and the new internet scams is the price. The idea is the same, it just costs you a lot more to get ripped off online.

So is there really any way for an honest person to make a legitimate income online?

    Yes there is!

It won't be overnight and it won't be effortless. It takes time and work to build a business anywhere. Why would the internet be any different? If anyone tries to tell you different they are lying to you. They are just trying to get you to buy their informative booklet, translated = ebook.

If you want to build a business, you will have to be willing to work, research and be patient. Nothing happens instantly and no one is going to hand you the silver tablet with all the answers.

There is a lot of writing that goes into an online business. You have to write website content. You have to write a newsletter or ezine. You have to write articles. If you hate to write, you are looking into the wrong business.

Yes, you will find people who will sell you the special program that will allow you to get rich without any writing. The problem is, how did you find out about that program? The seller wrote a sales letter. Hmm... sounds like writing to me. And remember what we already talked about? There is no super software that will make you rich overnight. If someone were to create such a program, do you think you would be able to buy it for one hundred and thirty seven dollars? Hardly.

    Let's stay on track here.

To build an online business, you will have to own a website. To create this website, you will have to research a topic and write about it. You will have to buy a domain name, (this is cheap and you only pay once a year). You will need to find a good hosting company to host your site. This can be pretty inexpensive if you look around. This is a monthly expense that you will have to be able to afford before you even consider building a website.

Once you have your site built and online, your next job will be to let the world know you are there. This is the biggest job there is. It is a never ending task. No one will even know your site exists if you don't work on promoting it. Many people will try to sell you information on marketing too. There is plenty of free information out there all you have to do is look for it.

Finally, once you have your site up and running, you have people coming to your site, you will need a product or products to sell or what was the point? The easiest way to get products is through affiliate programs. These programs will allow you to sell someone else's product and make commission off your sales. You don't have to stock anything, you don't have to collect money and you don't have to deal with shipping.

There are many good companies out there that offer nice commissions on their products. It really doesn't matter what you decide to create your website about. You will find someone selling something that will compliment your site.

So, back to the original question. How can I 'really' make money online? The answer is by working at it. Put your pie in the sky dreams away and start writing.
